I’d been curious about Silas for a while and finally had the opportunity to schedule a session with him.  I’m very glad I did.  His technique is different from most I’ve been experiencing.  Based in Thai massage, the session takes place on the floor on a mat.  This let Silas take advantage of his whole body to manipulate me through an intense series of stretches and working muscle in some unusual ways.  He coached me through some breath work to help me relax through his work which often surprised me.  With him wrapped up with me, I honestly didn’t know I could be bent in some of those directions but it paid off in loosening up some tight joints and armored muscles.  All the while he checked in and made sure I was OK.  I’m pretty furry and he used a light jojoba oil that felt very silky and let him rub me without unnecessary friction.  He was also very gracious in letting me shower, offering me water, made restaurant and sight-seeing suggestions and even took it in stride when I got completely brain dead and almost shorted him on his fee.  Very embarrassing, but he was understanding and we parted amicably.  I hope to come back again and see him again.

Silas is the highlight of every trip I make to New Orleans.  He is everything you could hope for in a masseur.  Kind, sensitive, strong, welcoming, great hands, beautiful inside and out.  You leave refreshed, energized, positive, and physically and emotionally healed.  It’s an honor for me to recommend him.
