Apollos is not the masseur for everyone.  He's friendly, very approachable, funny, calming, and extremely spiritual.  He's creative and improvisational, with a huge bank of knowledge to draw upon.  I thought, "the best way to approach this massage is to think, let me open up."  My limbs opened, my muscles opened, my nerve endings tingled, and my heart opened.  So much happened that the brain relying on logic and reason just can't quite describe it.  You don't have to believe in magic before you begin, but open your mind...you will believe it before the session ends.  The stretching was so well organized - he was completely aware of where he was pulling me, and why, even if I couldn't quite "figure it out."  This shaman provides a wealth of magic, some familiar, some new, but all of it eye-opening.  If you believe massage is a sacred practice, you are in tune with this guy.  I had intense, confrontational places where I had been storing pain or anxiety - he found every single one and addressed it with kindness, strength and determination.  But working out the tight spots was blended with ecstatic pleasure and the massage became a kind of mystical dance.  Be prepared for a fine celebration of being human and spiritual.  It was a deeply rewarding time.
